My Experience.

As a serial entrepreneur, I built companies from scratch. Recognizing an opportunity, I would conduct primary and secondary research to understand the potential markets, investigate the availability of technology or the need to develop new technology…identify the capital requirements and then write the business plan.

Next, I would publish the business plan, seek investors, raise the capital, build the team and execute on the strategy…delivering value to shareholders…all within the complicated rules of compliance.

I see my role as County Commissioner no differently. Weber County taxpayers are shareholders, and their taxes are an investment in our County. My role as county commissioner is to maximize our county services while minimizing the resources to produce those services…delivering a reasonable return on investment.

Goals and objectives are measurable so simple metrics must be used to hold management accountable. Investments in services that do not deliver on their stated goals must be changed or eliminated. Fiduciaries who fail to perform these responsibilities must be replaced by those who will perform.

Why I am Running.

I can no longer sit on the sidelines…I must get involved! Our current path is not sustainable…our population grew 10% over the last 9 years while our taxes increased by 60%!

Our government is funded by us hard working tax paying citizens. There is a limit as to how much government we can afford. Sometimes…you must do more with less and that requires solid leadership. I believe tax paying citizens come first when appropriating funds to serve our community, so I want to make sure these citizens have a voice in our government.

I will be that voice.

As your commissioner, I will work hard to maximize government efficiency.  That means doing more with less. It means maximizing services while minimizing the resources to produce those services…And it means maintaining or improving quality over time. These are metrics used to maximize profits in business. Why must they be lost on government?

As your commissioner, I will promote public safety, law enforcement and the proper role of government while defending private property. And I will support small business by reducing regulations, streamlining licensing and simplifying the tax code.

I have no conflicts of interest, owe no debt beyond my mortgage, and owe only God for the man I am today.

As your Commissioner, I will put tax paying citizens and Public Safety first…and then look to government to become more efficient
​in the way in which it serves our community.
